A GENERAL INTRO:
A girl is on a quest to make sense of her world – and what exactly that green and blue sphere is among the stars.
WHAT EXACTLY IS THE ATHENA PODCAST?
ATHENA. is a new audio drama. It is a science fiction story that follows a teenage individual, Athena, discovering herself and her roots on another planet. Where did she really come from? Who can she trust? What does she have the potential to really do?
The first couple of episodes (up to 1.05) is mostly monologue, with one or two lines coming from another character. After the fifth episode, other characters are introduced into the story. Going forward, the episode formats will either be a monologue, or a conversation with two or more people.
ATHENA. is a proud member of the Odd Audio Network.
WOULD I ENJOY ATHENA?
Major arcs of the story include tons of mystery, plot-twists and cliff-hangers, as well as supernatural capabilities.
If you enjoy old movies such as World War II fictionalized history or like coming of age plot lines, this show may be for you.
IS THE SHOW APPROPRIATE FOR CHILDREN?
ATHENA. is a clean rating, but there is some PG-13 rated language sprinkled in the dialogue.
This podcast would most likely be suitable for children 12-13 years or older.
TRIGGER WARNINGS TO BE CONSCIOUS ABOUT:
There are bomb sound effects that are used in the latest episodes of ATHENA.
As said before, many episodes end on a cliff-hanger.
PODCAST FORMAT AND RELEASE SCHEDULE:
The podcast is planned to be one season, with less than 30 episodes. Each episode that is currently released is less than 10 minutes.
The show is released on a bi-weekly schedule, releasing every other Sunday at 9:00 A.M. Eastern Standard Time. It will be noted if the podcast needs to take a break for an episode or two. Life, of course, does happen – it happens to all of us, so please bear with Victoria (the creator and producer) if she has other priorities briefly.
You are able to listen to ATHENA. on major podcatchers like Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
The show does not have many social media links currently, as we just released in April. This very well may change, and we will inform you if we add more social media.
